Results just in! The judging panel of Words in Motion which is a literacy program that promotes an appreciation for the art of poetry across Wood Buffalo has released great news for 3 students in the grade 4-6 class.
Students in Ms. Reck's class have been studying poetry and welding their pen at writing some different genres. The class entered the Wood Buffalo sponsored contest last month.
Congratulations to Ethan Adby and his preposition poem entitled "Ethan's Inside," Sienna Quintal with her preposition poem entitled “The Lonely Cookie” and to Shashawna Tremblay and her “ ABCs of Cupcakes” poem.
This is quite cool as the selected pieces will be on display on various bus panels throughout Fort Mac Murray for all to see!
There will be a celebration event on Thursday, April 14that 6:30 pm at the Wood Buffalo Regional Library- our lucky students will be receiving official invitations closer to the date.
We won't make you wait- here are the winning entries. Enjoy and do be sure to congratulate our young poets when you see them in and around the school community. They might even autograph a copy for your very own if you ask them nicely!
